The Matriarch

Named after Grandma Ricarda, aka “Karda” who first showed me the ways of the sewing machine. Karda Mendi is a not just a brand, but also a lifestyle depicting passion, strength, and ability to overcome all obstacles just like Grandma Karda, the Matriarch.

The Designer

Designs encompass the designer’s passion for the world of art and respect for those who fight to survive in a world of chaos.  The establishment of Karda Mendi in 2009 therefore derives from the designer’s profound love for culture and respect for the “Socially Hazardous.”  The company specializes in accessories and clothing.  Color palettes and fabrics that display the brands structural yet simple design aesthetics represent Karda Mendi. 

The Story

of the Hattery

The Karda Mendi Hattery was born in 2024 from the spirit of hard work, dedication, loyalty, and a strong sense of community and family, or ”The Cowboy Way”. Grandpa Fidel Guerra’s resilience and grit paved the way for the start of what the brand embodies.

Socially Hazardous:  one who uses own inner strength to overcome all obstacles; does not take no for an answer and views world as a place to display ability to achieve anything desired; there are no limits that cannot be reached
